  2. I had the carpets in two rooms and a hallway steam cleaned yesterday.
One room is completely dry, and so is the hallway,
the other is in the corner of the house and is still considerably wet after 24 hours.
I can’t open the window in that room so the ventilation is pretty poor. I’ve turned on the
space heater an hour ago, it seems to be helping somewhat. I’m worried about mould growing. What is the normal drying time for a carpet cleaning?. Update: Oh, I didn’t know that about the heater, thanks, I’ve shut it off. I have one fan going in there, and am turning the AC on now. I don’t have something like a
dehumidifier though. Also, the reason I can’t open the window is there is no screen and many bugs outside the window who’d love to
get into a room with a nice damp rug.. The AC and fans worked,
    it’s almost dry! Thanks everyone..
